Game Design Document

My thoughts on Dundoc is that it is easy to use and a good way to see how your going to go about your project i also think that no one has ever seen a web application that is only used to create a great game design so it is a great idea.On my game design Document i plan on having the following
  • story
  • characters
  • environment/level
  • gameplay
  • art description
  • sound
  • user interface and controls

  1. Hi Ellie,

I really like your concept and think it's a great idea.

Is your game only specifically for mobile devices? You may be missing out on an opportunity by limiting it to just handhelds.

What kinds of creatures do you plan on having in your island? Some hybrid animals could be a cool and fresh touch to make your game stand out.

And lastly, Is the game timed, or is there a certain amount of treasure that they must collect in order to continue or progress?

I wish you luck in your game and I enjoyed reading your Games Design Document.

    All the best

    James.

  2. Hi Ellie
I really like where you are going with your concept. Especially with using the aspect of mobile phones as one of your medias for your target audience. I feel that is a very good media to pursue. Especially since mobile games have became way more popular in recent years. Have you thought about adding maybe some sketches of the creatures to help give a visualization of what the player can expect and to help you in designing one in the long run. I really liked reading this blog and feel you have some serious potential here. Best of luck
