Prototype

  Adventure Island

This is my prototype of the island that I am planning on making. I want my game to feel exciting and for the player to feel as if they are part of the game that you are living the experience on the island and fighting through all the obstacles they will have to face throughout. The atmosphere on the island will be creepy and unknown. The player won't know what to expect.

Character Animation:

Creatures from the forgotten land:

I feel my idea is working well and I will be able to make this game like shown on the map but I definitely think they will be some tricky steps along the way.

I plan on meeting my targets by looking at different ways I can make the obstacles work and how i'm going to include all the scenery I have on the island and trying to make it all come together nicely. I also want to look at the different controls the player will use in the game and how they will work.

  1. Well a good day to you Ellie.

Well well well I think that you game idea is coming along really well and I think that you have a very interesting and well established concepts for the prototype (and from you Game Design Document that I have had a good read through) and that I am glad that you are able to understand the stuff that I was able to explain to you to help to establish it to the level that you have here and it shows that it does look really well so far. My one question that I have would be is that will he come across another survivor on his journey off the island and is their a distinct types of creatures on this island as well as one of your interesting designed characters. I would have some concepts to add to your concept here but I think that you have a good amount of content to make this into a very interesting game and I look forward to seeing how it will all turn out, as I can tell that it will be great no matter how it turns out in the end.

    Cheerio!!

  2. Hi Ellie

Your idea looks like its coming on great. I really like the sketch concepts especially how the character looks like Tom Hanks from castaway haha, as i feel these really helps show how to picture your game. l am also impressed with the variety of locations on the map as it looks as if there may be different terrains adding more varieties to the game from a visual standpoint.
Keep up the good work Ellie I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

  5. Hi Ellie,

I really like your game ! An adventure island where the player has to survive on and to fight to survive brings back memories of Minecraft or Terraria for me. I like how you've planned your game with a map, some ideas for animation and all.

I have one question: Have you started work in Unity ? I know Unity is a pain in a hole but if you don't tell your readers if you've started then we assume that you've haven't. If you have then how has the progress on your going ? Have you been looking assets ? Are you looking modules for enemies ? Have you created the Island that you island your character is on ? Sketches are nice but I'm also wondering about your game too.

I will say you sketches are great though, you're a good artist!

Overall, I really like your game idea and can't wait to see what it will look like in Unity.
